How Do I Message Someone On LinkedIn For Free

Have you ever wanted to send someone on LinkedIn a message for free who is not one of your 1st level connections, this little trick is one I found out early when using LinkedIn.

Note: You can do this with a free basic account, see below.

1. Go to the person profile you want to message on LinkedIn 
2. Look to see what groups they are in. 
3. Join one or more of the groups.
4. Once accepted into one of the groups go to that group
5. Click where it shows the number of members in the group on the right.
6. Enter the name of the person who you originally wanted to message.
7. Hover over the right hand side of the contact and click the message icon.
8. Write your message and send.
